Frequently asked questions

What type of film can I get developed?

We currently offer processing for Colour (C41) and Black and White (B+W) 35mm film only.

120 medium format film will be available in the future, however we are taking phased approach and starting with just 35mm film to ensure that we can build out the most efficient lab and therefore keep prices as low as possible!

How do I order?

Step 1

Order the processing you need: C41 Colour, or B+W.

Step 2

Post your film to us at:

Unit 36, The Bristol South Space Program, South Liberty Lane, Bristol, BS3 2ST

Make sure to write your order number on the packaging, or on a slip of paper inside!

Step 3

We'll process it with care, send you your scans, and (if selected) post your negatives back to you as an uncut roll.

For current turnaround times, please check our FAQs!

Please Note for Disposables - We recommend you send the whole disposable camera and do not try to remove the film!

What are your turn around times?

Our current turn around times for both Colour and Black + White, are 1-3 days from receiving your film.

What happens if my roll comes back blank?

If your film comes back blank, we'll refund the cost of scanning, as well as reach out to let you know. I'm also happy to provide any tips to help avoid this in the future!

Of course, if the roll is blank due to a fault during the development process, we will provide a full refund, as well as reimburse the cost of the roll of film, or replace if we have that film stock available, and you would prefer.

What scanning options do you have?

Currently we offer standard scans (3000x2000) in both JPEG and TIF file formats.

What happens if I order film as well as film processing?

If you order fresh film, as well as film processing, we will ship your new film back to you with your processed negatives. If you have opted to have your negatives destroyed, film orders will be shipped out as soon as possible, and will not need to wait for development to be done.

Can I drop my film off at the lab?

In order to keep prices as low as possible, while not compromising on quality, the Lab does not have a retail space, and operates out of a shipping container!

This does mean that we're a mail-in lab only currently, however plans are in place to set up drop boxes around Bristol - watch this space!
